The CFAM3 was first sold by RDM Consultants Ltd. in 1994. It was a four channel machine with the later addition of concurrent 4 channel Averaged Evoked Potential Computation using external stimulators. The CFAM2 software had continued to be developed and the ability to perform off-line and on-line data classification was added. A patented data category mapping technique could produce two or three dimensional plots of data classes with the graphical display format being defined by the user by means of a script file.
The type name was changed later to CFAM3c with the replacement of the monochrome display by a colour display with on-screen electrode placement diagrams. These diagrams were also printed on the chart output alongside the relevant channel data.
The CFAM3c is no longer manufactured.
