Russ and Dina Brown

I have just returned from a very pleasant trip to the UK
(I live in the USA). While I was there I had the opportunity to drop in on a social
evening of the local chapter of the SOC. My wife and I were made very welcome by the other
members, with about 7 Stags in the car park of the pub they use. One of the things that
caught my eye was a couple of the cars had a rear screen and tonneau fitted manufactured
under the name of BosScreen. Some readers (primarily UK} will be
familiar
with this device but for those who arent Ill try and give a brief
decryption
of what it is. It consists of a clear acrylic screen shaped to conform to the hoop part of
the roll bar and is attached very cleverly and neatly immediately behind it. From its
lower rail a tonneau can be fitted to cover the back seat, again very neatly done. A
picture is worth a thousand words and the manufacturer (Jeff Boston, hence
BosScreen) has a web page with clear colour pictures which detail and show the
arrangement very well (WWW.BOSSCREEN.CO.UK). I decided to buy one while I was still in the
UK, contacted Jeff, and he very quickly shipped one to me and I brought it back on the
plane with me. I have spent a lot of money on my Stag in the last 2-3 years restoring and
improving things but I feel this one of the best 300 dollars I have spent. I am completely
delighted with it. Firstly the design and quality of the construction is really
superb. When
fitted ( a couple of minutes) it reduces the wind buffeting considerably increasing the
driving comfort no end. I can now easily listen to the radio at highway speeds at half the
volume before. It will also make cool or even cold driving very much more pleasurable by
eliminating all that swirling air down the back of your neck, and as a bonus making the
heater more effective. I feel the BosScreen is such a good idea and is so well
executed I just wanted to pass on my findings to other Stag owners who may not of heard of
it and may want to check it out for themselves.
Lastly I want to state I have absolutely no business connection
whatsoever with the BosScreen or Jeff Boston. I just feel a product this good
deserves a mention.
Regards to all. Russ Brown.
