The Car
This trusty little Nissan Micra wil be our home for the month or so we are on the road. It's a 998cc 16V Twin Cam speed machine. With 125,000 on the clock and previously owned by a German exchange student working at a cattery it's had a long and boring life so far... It will of course be modified before the rally with a roof rack, spotlights, sump guard, spare bits and bobs, orange hub caps, stickers, home-made snorkel, compass and, most importantly, a stereo. Evidently the list does get a little superficial toward the end but we're sure the engineers at Nissan had the Gobi Desert in mind when designing the Micra so it's all good.
