Chard wins Best Visiting Club Trophy at Exeter Sprint Meet
4th Place in Junior League
A brilliant effort saw Chard claim 4th place in the 2005 Junior League Final. Seeded sixth and up against stiff competition from the best clubs in the league, the Chard squad put in a superb performance producing the club's best ever result

Well Done Holly Nunn - 5 Club Records in 2 days !
At the Western Counties Youth Championships held at Millfield over the weekend 30th April to 2nd May Holly Nunn set no less than 5 Open Club Records. On the Sunday Holly set records in both her heat and the final of the 50m Backstroke and then another in the 200m Freestyle. Not satisfied with three records, on the Monday Holly went on to set new open records in the 100m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle.

Mendip Challenge Cup
Saturday 5th February - In a tremendous all-round team performance the Chard 12yrs and under squad won the 2005 Mendip Challenge Cup at Hutton Moor
Club Gala No. 1
The first club gala of 2005 was held on Saturday 29th Jan. The event was well attended with good performances all round. Congratulations, in particular, to the following new Club Record holders

New Format for 2005 Club Galas
A new points system will be used for the 2005 club galas. The system will be based on the BAGCAT and GB points systems and will align the club galas more closely with the Somerset Age Groups, the Western Counties and the National Championships.
