The Minimum
provided for any tortoise :-
• is a dry
shelter (shed or green house)
• with a
basking lamp – to thermo regulate –
• some sort of
heater to ensure night time lows of around 12 degrees C – with constant 24 hr
access.
• Bathing
Facilities - not too deep
• Secure area
– that it cannot escape from (they can climb chain link fence, burrow under
short distances, climb clematis, break old wooden fencing.
• Secure area
from theft!
Remember –
this is the minimum, it will benefit from much more!
