The tortoises
imported into this country came from very different origins.
Tortoises
originate from largely differing places around the world, some Hibernate, some
do not, some like desert like conditions, some like swampy areas, and all sorts
of in between types of climate.
None however
come from a climate like the UK!
But we expect
them to survive – some have no chance of survival in our climate, some merely
survive – none thrive!
