Text Box: So 2010, what’s new… Well we have the same Sunday captain, the same midweek captain. The same chairman however the secretary position was vacated and we now welcome Joss to this role. Rumours the previous secretary was pregnant are not true! So with a re-shuffle of the pack needed, we also have a new fixtures secretary, so lets hope Mark can pick some fixtures we can win this season. With 15 fixtures at home and just 7 away, clearly the price of fuel compared with the price of beer has influenced the fixture list. This colour scheme stays the same as 2009. Captain Ginger rules ok! So if you want to join us for nets or a game, we are always looking for new players. Just drop us an email or enquire at the Chequers. We have a full fixture list on Sundays and also have a team that players in the league midweek. So ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PLAYING…? The criteria is not that demanding. 1. Are you able to walk or better run? 2. Can you get in the way of a cricket ball or better catch it? 3. Can you throw like a girl or better like a bloke? 4. Can you actually bat or just whack it? 5. Can you launch a cricket bat from the field of play into the changing rooms without hitting anything other than the back wall, whilst muttering the words… “that umpire doesn’t know the LBW law” 6. Can you drink beer or better buy a jug or a round? If so EMAIL the link below now.
