ABOUT CHESHIRE MODEL CLUB
This aerial photograph of the flying field was taken by member David Horgan using a "Flycam" attached to his "Ascent" power assisted
glider. And yes! That is a pond you can see at the end of the strip! The area surrounding the field is planted with crops. At the time this photograph
was taken the crop was maize. There are very few obstructions and, due to the layout, the sun is virtually always behind you when you are flying your
model.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Membership fees are due at the end of January each year and are currently £110 per annum. Members are also required to join the British Model Flying
Association, not least because of their third party insurance. BMFA fees are currently £28 per annum for full senior membership. Cheshire Model
Club is affiliated to the BMFA and we prefer our members to join through the Club if possible. If you are interested in joining Cheshire Model Club please
contact us to be added to the waiting list. You will find the necessary details on the "Contact Us" page.
MAINTENANCE OF THE FIELD
Obviously the grass requires cutting frequently throughout the growing season. Cutting it is taken in turns wherever possible so you may even get to
drive the lawn tractor!
