Bridging Camp
From David Wraight 20/11/03
Fished towards the Bridging camp
over High water. Using black lug, Rag and mackerel. Nothing in daylight then as
soon as it got dark and started raining the Pout started biting - Several caught
up to a 1lb. made a change from th dogfish at the Cove end.

Fished towards B/Camp Sunday 17th Nov 1pm to
8pm.The last few sessions at Abbotsbury end during the last 6 weeks had been
disapointing apart from some good size Garfish with mainly Gurnard , Dogs &
odd Plaice , Pout & Whiting. The recent blow on Friday seemed to liven things
up.During daylight only 2 bites but one resulted in a Codling of 5.lb
2.oz.Once it got dark a bite every cast within 5 minutes of hitting the bottom
with Pouting to 1.b 6.oz & Whiting to 1.lb 2.oz with the odd Dog. More Codling
may have been there but Pout/Whiting hit bait too quickly.I would suggest
daylight sessions for Codling as the other fish do not seem as close in giving
more chance of a Codling getting to the bait.

Fished Littlesea Friday night 15th
November from 1900 to midnight. Scary
to be caught in a thunderstorm with hail, rain, lightning and everything
- thank God for Beach Buddies! Didn't have any Lug so fished with Squid,
frozen Black Lug, Rag and Razorfish. We caught Dogs, big Pout and poor
Cod.Not really worth a welly full of water on the boat trip over!
Still, next time eh.
