News and Updates - 200631 December 2006I thought I would squeeze in a final 2006 post before the year ticks over to 2007. I've actually been running this page since just after Christmas 2000. If you do your sums that's six years! To celebrate I've produced a snazzy new logo. See above. (Well, to tell the truth I've only just worked out how to use the text options on PhotoShop.) I've also added the wonderful innovation of a little notice-board. You can find it below the links to the left. When there's a new movie out or Amelia is in a magazine I will put a message on the notice-board so you will have no excuse to miss it! 24 November 2006Amelia is in the new issue of Empire magazine. It's the January 2007 issue with Spider-Man 3 on the cover. Run out and buy your copy now! In the meantime here she is...
I note it says that Gone will be released in "early 2007". 21 October 2006Forgive the new look on the front page. If you like it let me know! First piece of news. I found the poster for Gone on www.impawards.com. Have a click to see the larger version...
Secondly I noticed the region 2 DVD of Alpha Male listed on Amazon UK and play.com. It's released on 22 January 2007. Here's the cover...
14 October 2006I'm told that Amelia will be appearing in a few magazines over the coming weeks. I don't have the dates yet but keep your eyes on the following...
6 October 2006I had the opportunity to be flicking through the new UK InStyle this afternoon. (Don't tell anyone!) I stopped flicking the pages when I saw a particularly pretty face. "I wonder who she is," I thought. I looked to the name in the caption. It’s Amelia again! Here are the scans!
It's the November 2006 issue with Kirsten Dunst on the cover. (Hence the flicking...) 28 September 2006At lunchtime today I went looking for a magazine to buy. My eye fell on the new issue of Arena magazine. "That looks a lot like Amelia on the cover," I thought. Not only does it look like her, it is her. The issue has a November 2006 cover date. You can see the (very large) photos here...
What do you mean "which one is she?" Third from left! I've finally seen Winter Passing. Very enjoyable. I would have liked Amelia to have a tiny little bit more screen time, but she did well considering she was sharing the screen with Ed Harris and Will Ferrell. Oh, I'd better not leave Zooey out. Anyway, well worth trying to track down. 16 September 2006Gina has send me a link to some videos of Amelia on youtube. Anna tells me that workingtitelfilms.com have moved the release date of Gone from October to December. 28 August 2006Anna sent me a like to an Alpha Male trailer here:
mymovies.net.
23 August 2006Thanks to the message board user who mentioned that Amelia was in the September issue of Hotdog magazine in the UK. I ran out and bought a copy and the page has been scanned. It appears to be the same picture that was used in Interview magazine earlier this year.
10 August 2006Thanks to Anna for letting me know what's new in the message board! Amelia is in the new September 2006 issue of Marie Claire UK. (Paris Hilton is on the cover so be warned.) It's just a one page article but it's a very nice photo and it's worth being scanned, so here it is...
Looking back at my last entry it probably sounds like I never made it through the second half of Stoned! Actually I did and I'm pleased to report that Amelia has a lot more screen time in the second half. The DVD is presently part of the "3 for £20" offers in both HMV and Virgin Megastores. Amelia's new movie Alpha Male has been reviewed in both Empire and Total Film and got fairly positive reviews. It's out tomorrow, 11 August.Off topic, but I saw V for Vendetta on DVD last week and enjoyed it very much. I thought Natalie Portman did a good job. (Of course it doesn't hurt that she's still gorgeous even with her hair shaved off!) 20 July 2006Just to let you know that I picked up the DVD of Stoned in HMV this week for £7.99. It might be a good time to check your local branch to add some goodies to your Amelia collections! I've just had time to see the first half. Amelia is not in it too much so far. (But at least she got to keep her clothes on, which is more than I can say for the other actors and actresses!) It's still hot. I can't handle this heat! 17 July 2006Anna tells me that there seems to be a release date for Gone. According to Imdb and www.uip.co.uk it will be released on 27 October. I noticed that Quills was on the UK digital channel More-4 a couple of times last week. It may turn up again so keep your eyes open. I don't know about you but it's hot in Northern Ireland right now! We don't normally get summer here. 8 July 2006Anna has sent me this link about Alpha Male: "A powerful story of family politics, repressed emotions, great love and devastating loss" showing from 11 to 24 August 2006 at the Barbican. Theres a link on the right of the page to some photos. Number three is our Amelia. 29 June 2006Gina has let me know that isifa has some new pics of Amelia on their site: 20 June 2006Annette and Tina inform me that Alpha Male will be in cinemas from 11th August. Tina says: "Fantastic news! Alpha Male is going to be released in UK theatres on August 11th this year. Check out jenniferehle.blogspot.com for updates - so far have heard from both the UK and international distributor. The latter (Capitol) says that it'll probably get a TV/DVD release outside the UK. 1 June 2006I've finally seen Aeon Flux after renting the DVD yesterday. I have to say I didn't think it was nearly as bad as the reviews had it. It's not a fantastic movie and I'm in no rush to see it again, but it passes an hour and a half. Of course I may have had a different verdict had I seen it in the cinema... As you may or may not know Amelia is only in it for a couple of scenes at the start of the movie. 22 May 2006Anna let me know that the official Middle of Nowhere site is reporting that the movie has changed its name to Gone... Middle of Nowhere / Gone site. It's out in "late 2006". There's a nice photo of our Amelia too! Aeon Flux is out on DVD in the UK today. I will rent and let y'all know what I thought. 2 May 2006Anna has found a region 2 DVD of Winter Passing listed on amazon.de. It's out on 29 May. 12 April 2006Gina tells me that Winter Passing will be available on (region 1) dvd on May 16th according to www.moviesonline.ca.
Anna found a release date for Middle of Nowhere on the Hollywood Reporter site. 3 April 2006Big, big, big thanks to Gina for sending in a scan of Amelia's page from the April Interview magazine (Gretchen Mol on the cover). She sent it in almost a week ago but I've not been on the ball. Well, better late than never...
Play.com has a small image of the Aeon Flux DVD cover.
The Stoned DVD is supposed to be released today and has full page adverts in the likes of Empire magazine. Many thanks to Deb for putting togeather a yahoo group with larger images of some of Amelia's public appearances. groups.yahoo.com/group/AmeliaWarnerGallery/Tina has sent in a link to a clip of Alpha Male. www.beam.tv13 March 2006Thanks to Gina for sending me scans from the March issue of Nylon. Amelia appears in a double page article. The scans can be found below, plus I've produced a text document of the actual words.
9 March 2006It looks like we'll have three new region 2 Amelia DVDs to buy in the coming months. According to play.com and amazon.co.uk Lorna Doone is out on 13 March, Stoned is out on 3 April and Aeon Flux is out on 22 May! Start saving the pennies!
It does look like Amelia is not in the March Interview mag. I will update you when I hear more. In the meantime she will be in a magazine called Nylon. 6 March 2006Thanks to lisa for sending me the photo of Amelia from the Telegraph magazine that appeared a couple of weeks ago...
I'm told that Amelia may not be in the March Interview mag, but I don't know for sure. I'll let you know as soon as I am sure. I'm more or less over my cold. Thanks for asking. Anyone else getting snow? I had to take the train last week... 20 February 2006A number of things to get through today. And I'm in the mood to type lots of words... Firstly a number of people have alerted me to new images of Ameila at the gettyimages site. The event was the Winter Passing premiere in the USA. Here's a thumbnail image to encourage you to go and confirm how lovely she looks.
I'm trying to confirm what issue of Interview magazine Amelia is in. I have been told that she is not in the February issue. If anyone does find her please let me know what issue it is. (Sienna "flavour-of-the-month" Miller is on the cover of the February issue) I missed another Amelia magazine at the weekend. On Saturday I noticed that the Telegraph newspaper had a BAFTA issue of their magazine with Rachel Weisz on the cover. I almost bought it but changed my mind. On Sunday I discovered (via an absent-minded ebay search) that Amelia was one of the actors featured! If anyone bought the paper please stop the magazine from ending up in the bin and send me a scan. Please? Gina sent me the link to the official Winter Passing website. There's an Aeon Flux trailer doing the rounds on UK tv at the moment. There's one blink-and-you'll-miss-her moment of Amelia. At least I think it is her. Anyway, I think I'll wait for the DVD. (Not that I have much of a choice because my local cinema closed last year.) One review said the movie looks like a cross between The Matrix and Tellytubbies! (I do like DVDs. I even bought Pride and Prejudice the other week. £9.77 in ASDA. Bargain! Pity Amelia wasn't in it. I had to make do with Keira Knightley and Rosamund Pike.) Anything else? Only that I have been suffering with an unpleasant cold all weekend. I'm almost better now, just in time for work on Monday. Of course. My having a cold has nothing to do with Amelia but I'll happily use any excuse to share my misery and ask for sympathy. 14 February 2006Amelia is in the current edition of Interview Magazine, out in the US at the moment. 6 February 2006This page has some info on the LA showing (and the poster) of Winter Passing... www.genart.org. 30 January 2006Winter Passing receives it's premiere on 15th February in New York. Stoned is on limited release in the US from 15th March. |
