Linda sent in this link to a photo of Julia in a little black dress at www.instyle.com.
Julia is one of a number of "almost-famous starlets" in this article on www.nydailynews.com.

And another Julia interview for you to read about Button, this time at www.moviesonline.ca.
Another Julia article for you to read!
Julia Ormond's experience making The Curious Case of Benjamin was, well, curious. In fact, it was unlike any other project that the actress has been involved in. "They isolated my stuff to a two-week shoot right at the end. I felt like I was making my own little short film with Cate Blanchett and David Fincher," she laughs.
Read the complete article at artistdirect.com.
Another youtube find from Rodolfo. Last night (18 Dec) Julia was on CBS's Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Julia can be seen looking very lovely and relaxed.
Rodolfo sent in a few videos of Julia.
First of all there is a little interview with her about Benjamin Button.
I have to say I really like this clip of Julia. Apart from looking smashing we get a glimpse of her wicked British self-deprecating sense of humour. For example listen to her talk about the "aging makeup".
Anyway, here is is:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3ufvSUOjhU
(Looks like this video has been removed.)
Now here's a video of Julia in "the dress" (the new one!) at the premiere signing autographs. Listen to the crowd scream "JULIA!!!! JULIA!!!!" It's like being there, I tell you. (Were you there? Did you get her autograph? Let us know!)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdHSq0KKqYQ
Now some clips from Che with a brief shot of Julia as a blonde reporter on TV: video.reeltalktv.com/player/?id=870581
Mari sent in a Button interview with Dark Horizons containing a little photo.
www.darkhorizons.com/interviews/ormond.php
And finally here's another Button interview, this time with a photo from the front side.
www.straight.com/article-176299/ormond-fastens-button
There, not bad to be getting on with.
I have put seven high quality images of Julia at the Benjamin premiere on the blog.
A couple of Julia releated articles for you today.
First it appears that The Argentine, like Benjamin, is framed by someone telling their story to Julia:
“The Argentine” is framed by Guevara’s visit to the United Nations in the mid-1960s; in speaking with an interviewer (Julia Ormond) about his life, we see him meet Fidel Castro (Demián Bichir) for the first time in Mexico and the day-to-day struggles as he leads a revolutionary army across the island of Cuba.

Secondly, here's a Benjamin quote from Julia:
Julia Ormond, who plays Blanchett's adult daughter in the movie says that she'd rather take a cue from the movie: live while you can.
"Ultimately what I take away from this movie is to live in the present. I feel like I've been more shaped by my mistakes. It's made me who I am today. And there are a bunch of them I'd probably make again, and I will" said the actress, dressed in Versace. "I know I worried so much about what's going to happen to me and how I'm going to do it. I wish I'd taken a big fat chill pill and had fun."

Both Lettie and Jo tell me that there are some seriously gorgeous photos of Julia looking very well at the Benjamin premiere on Getty, Wireimage and Rex. Here are just three:
There is a half-page "where are they now" piece on Julia in the new issue of Empire magazine (January 2009). Here is a quick scan for your viewing enjoyment.
The magazine also has large features on Che and Button.
Jo found a video of a ceremony at the 2008 Cairo Film Festival. Julia's one of several stars on the stage and you'll see several glimpses of her. Check out the video at www.waleg.com.
Julia is in Egypt. She was at a press conference in Cairo on the sidelines of the Cairo International Film Festival which starts this week. You can read more about it at www.monstersandcritics.com. As usual Julia is looking well.
Here's a little fragment of news about Julia's upcoming episode of CSI New York which is due to be aired on Wednesday 19 November 2008.

Here's news about a new Julia HBO project:
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Julia Ormond, David Strathairn and Catherine O'Hara have joined the cast of a feature film about Temple Grandin, author of "Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior."
Claire Danes stars as Grandin, one of the leading speakers on autism, whose firsthand experience with the disorder led to her becoming an advocate for new treatments as well as a top expert in the field of humane livestock handling.
Ormond is set to play Grandin's mother, and Strathairn takes the role of her university science teacher. O'Hara will play her aunt.
Merritt Johnson and Christopher Monger wrote the screenplay. Mick Jackson is directing the HBO project.
Ormond next appears in Steven Soderbergh's "Guerrilla," with Benicio Del Toro, and David Fincher's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Strathairn has finished filming the horror thriller "The Uninvited," with Elizabeth Banks. O'Hara next will be heard doing voice work in "Where the Wild Things Are."

Long overdue this, but there are photos of Julia at the 4 September 2008 Madrid premiere and photocall for The El Escorial Conspiracy at Gettyimages and other news sites. Here are a few of the images. Thanks Lettie.
According to the link below the 100th episode of CSI:New York will mark the arrival of a new detective, played by Julia Ormond! Perhaps any CSI fans out there can chase that up and be kind enough to send me any info they find.
Source:ausiellofiles.ew.com.
(I did watch the original CSI a few years ago but drifted away when the spin-offs arrived. I did watch a bit of the Miami one but then they fired Kim Delaney, which didn't go down too well with me!)
There's a review of The El Escorial Conspiracy at www.variety.com.
There's a KK related interview with Julia at www.christiancinema.com.
Julia is to appear at the World Association of Detectives Annual Conference...
Those attending the World Association of Detectives 83rd Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado will be treated to a special appearance by international film star Julia Ormond. Ms. Ormond is not attending to speak about her role in movie "Surveillance", which recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and will be released in the U.S. in September, but in her role as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and Founder and President of ASSET, the Alliance Stop Slavery and End Trafficking.

Many thanks to Jo for sending in Escorial scans from a Spanish language magazine called "iH!".
Scans from another magazine will follow.
Rudy tells me that the 'Making of Escorial' videos are also available on www.laconjuradeelescorial.com with English subtitles.
Rodolfo sent in some link to 'Making of Escorial' videos on youtube. Mostly they are Spanish language with three of the actors speaking in English.
Thanks again to Rodolfo for his latest Escorial find.
A Spanish literary magazine called Barcarola has an issue devoted to Escorial. You can find a pdf version of the issue on their offical site. Go to www.barcaroladigital.com and then look for Escorial on right side of the front page. (April 2008 issue 71/72.)
Obviously the magazine is in Spanish but there are a few pages from the script and they include some English dialog.
You can also find the script pages at www.jasonisaacsphotoalbumsonline.com.
Jo found a couple of photos of Julia on the set of Guerrilla.
Jo also found a whole slew of Julia videos at www.hyd365.com.
Rodolfo send in some Escorial info. First of all there is a Spanish language trailer at www.dailymotion.com. I have to say I like what I'm seeing so far.
There is a small pic of the poster at www.lahiguera.net.
The trailer led me to the offical site at www.laconjuradeelescorial.com, however only the Spanish language version is up so far. Visit and check out the photos.
Here is a non-Escorial quote from Julia that will lead us to lower our hopes that we might see a lot of her in another movie...
LOOKING OUT: Speaking of ve-r-r-r-ry early Oscar talk … Brad Pitt's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" doesn't open 'til December, but if Julia Ormond's view is any indication, the film about a man who ages backwards is bound to cause a sensation. "What I have seen of it is extraordinary, just phenomenal. It could be (director) David Fincher's greatest achievement," says Ormond. "I have a very small role in it as Cate Blanchett's daughter, when Cate is around 80. For me it was a wonderful, very intensive two weeks of filming in the hospital with Cate."
Source: www.creators.com.
Jo sent in these scans from a magazine called Aventura. Many thanks for her efforts.
Julia is also appearing in some other magazines and I hope to have more information soon.
There are some large premiere style photos of Julia at www.celebies.com.
Lettie tells me that there are new pictures on both Wireimage and Getty images.
Kimberly found a youtube video with Julia talking about Kit Kittredge and her personal life: youtube.com/watch?v=BWzKAI46fEY.
Kimberly also tells me about a film called Call + Response with Julia prominently featured in the trailer. It's a rockmentary film but one that brings attention to the slavery and trafficking issue. There's a website with all kinds of information about the film and ways to be involved in fighting this crime: callandresponse.com.
Thanks to Kimberly for sending in a link to a long interview with Julia at www.premiere.com.
The BBFC website reports that Surveillance has been passed as an 18 certificate in the UK. It has a running time of 97 minutes. It is "expected to open on 05/09/2008".
Captives will be shown on BBC tv next week. Check your listings!
Jo sent in a link to a Julia interview connected to the Kit Kittredge movie. Check it out at www.moviesonline.ca.
Rodolfo sent me in a link to photos of Julia at the world premiere of Kit Kittredge. (or as he describes it "aka the one Julia Ormond film I am sure I will never see... unless it becomes a classic and I have kids some day").
Here are some thumbnailed goodies:
To see more and bigger check out www.gettyimages.com.
Julia looks smashing. Julia, if you happen to be reading this, keep doing what you're doing.
Smashing, I tell you.
Rodolfo also found some cool little clips from Surveillance. at www.evene.fr.
According to the new Total Film magazine the Che movies should get a release in the UK early next year.
Jo tells me that there is a trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at www.traileraddict.com.
According to the IMDb Julia's character in the Che movie is called Lisa Howard. There's lots of info on her at www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk and it gives an idea on Julia's role. It'll be interesting to see how big a role is as after Julia prominently promoting it at Cannes.
Rodolfo found another set of Julia Cannes photos at www.gettyimages.com.
He also found more Surveillance reviews at www.screendaily.com (positive), www.time.com (non-committal?) and www.timeout.com (negative).
Also it seems like someone here is posting reviews as they show up: daily.greencine.com.
There was a Spanish trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button on youtube but it's gone now. Let me know if you find an official trailer.
Another Cannes roundup.
www.latimes.com has an article about Jennifer Lynch and Surveillance.
www.reuters.com has a review of Surveillance.
celebrities-portal.com has photos of the Che photocall and some info on the movie(s).
popwatch.ew.com mentions both Surveillance and Che and finishes with the following thought:
And finally, it just so happens that Julia Ormond appears in Che as well as Surveillance. What's your take on the once-expected-to-be-a-megastar Ormond? Are you happy that she is (or may be) back?
Well, duh!
www.cinemastrikesback.com has a long and not-so-positive review of Surveillance.
Rodolfo sent in this link to some Julia related video at www.festival-cannes.fr.
Finally thanks to Mari for sending in this link. I do agree with the sentiment... Well played Julia.
As you may know the Cannes film festival is happening right now. Julia is in attendance as two of her new movies are getting their premieres there. There's LOTS of BIG photos at www.thefashionspot.com. Here are just a sample...

You can probably find many more from other sources.
Rodolfo found some footage of our Julia on www.youtube.com.
There's an interview with Surveillance director Jennifer Lynch at www.hollywoodreporter.com. Here's a quote:
Julia Ormond called me after reading the script. She really wanted to go someplace with her character that she'd never gone before. I told her that if I pushed her in a direction that was uncomfortable, I would also catch her.
www.indiewire.com reports that 'Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, announced that it has acquired the U.S. rights to Jennifer Lynch's "Surveillance." ... Magnet is planning a fall theatrical release.'
If anyone finds any quality Julia goodies why not email them in...
UK filmgoers will finally be able to see Julia on the big screen again:

Jo sent in these links on Julia's work to stop slavery and end people trafficking:
In addition to Julia's movie Guerrilla her other movie Surveillance will get shown at Cannes next month.
I found this poster of Surveillance at www.impawards.com. Follow the link to see the bigger photo.
You can see the full Kit Kittredge trailer at www.cinematical.com. Thanks Jo. Warning, it's for kids.
Rodolfo has sent a link to an English-language trailer of Surveillance on www.youtube.com.
He also tells me that Soderberghs's two movies The Argentine and Guerrilla (the one what Julia is supposed to be in) are expected to premiere at at Cannes: www.hollywoodreporter.com
Rodolfo got in touch again with more info about Surveillance. There is a low-quality, German-dubbed trailer available on YouTube. Expect Lynch-style disturbing images!
See www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0Gt-g1fAu4
The film is being released in Germany on July 17 according to www.imdb.com.
An article about the filming is posted at www.forodvdmania.com.ar.
Rodolfo has let me know that First Knight comes out on Special Edition Blu-Ray, April 29th : "extras include audio commentary with director Jerry Zucker and producer Hunt Lowry, Authurian Legend commentary, the featurettes "Making of First Knight" and "In Shining Armor: Knights in Training", and deleted scenes." See www.blu-ray.com
Lettie found some new photos of Julia at www.rexfeatures.com. They are dated 12 Feb 2008 but there is no mention of the event, but there appears to be a UN flag in the background. Here are five thumbnails. Julia is looking well.
Here's Lettie's review of IKWKM.
'IKWKM is not the sort of film that I would usually watch but as a devoted fan of Ms Ormond I was obliged to sit through it. It is a supernatural thriller and 'whodunnit' muder mystery all rolled into one. The story revolves around twins separated at birth and a serial killer on the loose. There are some truly horrific and distrubing scenes in the film with graphic images of torture and limb amputation. And plenty of blood. Ms Ormond has never, as far as I am aware, appeared in such a film before and hopefully never will again. Ms Ormond deserves much better. IKWKM is a far cry from her ealier works such as The Barber of Siberia and Smilla. However, as always, Ms Ormond brought intellgence and depth to her role and character. She just shines in everything she does. Let us all hope that her next films due to be released are worthy of her presence'.
Linda tells me that there is a sort of slide-show on the main www.arclightfilms.com page. A larger pic of Julia turns up there. You need the Flash plug-in working properly to see it.
Some finds from Rodolfo.
The El Escorial Conspiracy has an official website set up at www.laconjuradeelescorial.com. So far it's bare bones although it displays a release date: September 5, 2008. Also there's another gem of a eyepatch photo!
Also there's some news on Jennifer Lynch's Surveillance at www.arclightfilms.com. That page includes a little photo of Julia with Bill Pullman. There's a trailer but you need to be a movie buyer to see it.
According to www.berlinale.de Surveillance was shown in Germany at the European Film Festival on February 8 & 9. The film is listed as being 93 minutes long.
Thanks to Rodolfo for the finds.
Lettie tells me that "Sky" from Beach Girls turned up in the new Aliens Vs Predator movie!
Lettie has asked that I mention that her mother passed away suddenly last month. Lettie has been a long time contributor to the page and a friend. Please keep her in your thoughts.
Jack comments:
I finally got a chance to see I Know Who Killed Me at the weekend on DVD. My first impression is a bit mixed. It is by no means a great movie but it's not quite the dog turd that it's been made out to be. There are much worse movies being released right now. For example I had the misfortune to rent the DVD of the Black Xmas remake. 80 minutes of pointless eye-popping.
But back to IKWKM... Frankly Lohan is out of her depth. It was miscasting to put her in it. Still, if you want to see her pole-dancing, having some simulated sex, and then sew her finger back on, then this is the movie for you.
Julia wasn't in it that much, but when she turned up she was, well, her usual stunning self. It is a crying shame that we have not seen as much of her this last decade as we should have. Thankfully we have a bunch of new projects in the pipeline. And that Razzie nomination was quite undeserved. I guess Julia has been singled out because of the bad press the movie got.
So back to the movie. I thought it was far from perfect but quite well made, to be honest. There were some interesting ideas in there trying to get out.
I'm wondering about the whole "it was a fantasy/she made it up" theory. There are clues to support that idea in the early parts of the movie. But as it progressed the movie seemed to be saying that there were two Lohans.
In summary, not great, but not a complete disaster. Julia great, but not enough of her. Lohan not great. Press fast-forward when the fingers come off.
Oh dear. Julia has been nominated for a Razzie in the Worst Supporting Actress category for I Know Who Killed Me. It could have been worse. Lohan got nominated twice for the same movie!
I Know Who Killed Me is out on DVD in the UK on Monday. I've ordered my copy already!
After a longer than expected delay here are the September 2007 You magazine scans:
Rudy tells me that the NYT article mentioned, "The Conception, Production and Distribution of Julia Ormond", was recently made available by the New York Times at query.nytimes.com.
Rudy also let me know about a new Julia Czech website located at www.juliaormond.cz and if you do a search for "El Escorial Conspiracy" there is a myspace profile that shows up of a guy who was an extra of the film and he has some pics of him with Julia: profile.myspace.com.
