  • A Contract of Sale - it is recommended that the breeder provide you with this. Amongst other things this should detail both the breeder's)’ and your responsibility to the puppy. The contract should also list any official Kennel Club endorsements (restrictions) that the breeder has placed on the puppy’s records, and in particular on what basis the breeder may be prepared to remove the endorsement. Endorsements the breeder may place on your puppy include not for breeding and not for export. Before or at the time of sale, you must give a signed acknowledgement of any endorsement placed.
  • The breeder should give you the opportunity to see the puppy with its mother and the rest of litter. This is very important because it will not only give you an opportunity to see the temperament of the mother, but may also give you an idea of the future characteristics and size of the puppy.
  • Have the opportunity to see all the puppies and be able to handle them, rather than just seeing the puppy being offered to you.
  • It is the responsibility of the breeder(s) to register the litter with the Kennel Club and each puppy in the litter will initially be registered in the breeder(s)’ name(s). The breeder(s) chooses the official Kennel Club names for all the puppies.
  • Under normal circumstances, litter registration with the Kennel Club takes about 14 days, after which time the breeder(s) will receive the registration certificates for all the puppies in the litter. If there is a query with the application the Kennel Club will contact the breeder to resolve and further action may be required which may delay the registration process.

    • When sourcing a healthy pedigree puppy it is the breeder that is the most important consideration -

          

     buying a pedigree dog should not be done ‘on the cheap’ nor should it come from a disreputable source. By going to a responsible dog breeder you stand the best chance of getting a dog that will enjoy a happy and healthy life.

    So very sorry that you have had to let Chancer go, I know exactly how you are feeling as you know I had to have my first Chi, Charley, put to sleep to end his suffering. 
    Getting Freddie from you helped so much to ease my pain and he is such a lovely little boy and a credit to you.  Daisy is Chancer's granddaughter so his bloodline lives on in her and the other pups he has sired.

    Hi Pat I have not been on line for a while just looked at your web and read about Chancer. Oh what a shame you must be so upset he was a lovely dog and lives on in many including my Pocket. You tried so hard with him, he could not have had a better owner, it must have been a difficult decision to make in the end.     Hi Pat, I have just read all the tributes on your website for chancer, I was crying all through them, although I did not know chancer he was such a brave little boy, Jenny told me that Chancer was so loving and told me all about him, he was just so young, I know how heartbroken you are, I have been through the same I lost two Chihuahua's at a young age, now I have Minnie nearly 3 year old whom has gme, although at present its under control with tablets, ( touch wood) but I was warned she could go into a relapse at any time, which is on my mind all the time, I bought one of jenny's Chihuahua puppies in April she is so adorable, I get loads of photos from jenny of Lucie's (my baby chi) sisters and also of jenny's dogs, Anyway pat the tributes for Chancer are lovely,

    Sorry for not contacting you sooner and for the really short email yesterday, I've been so caught up in him that the time has just flown by!
    First of all id like to say thank you so much! He is the most fantastic little thing I have ever had the pleasure of coming across and I'm so grateful that he's mine
    I took him for his vet check yesterday and the vet said he was lovely and healthy and I've booked him in for his first injection on Monday.

    Our friends came round to meet the new additions to the family yesterday and everyone absolutely adored him. He's incredibly plucky! He stomps around the plac like he owns it.

    already and is so inquisitive. He plays with Sampson (Will's retriever puppy) under supervision. I'm fussing over him like a worried mother but he really holds his own and clambers all over Sam giving far far more than he gets lol! I've recorded some of it too so as soon as I get it on the computer I'll send you a link, it is hilarious

    He absolutely hates being on his own and when ever he's awake he wants to be around us.

     He follows me around everywhere and already comes to his name which is 'Vincey', hope you like it! I think it suits his plucky little character.

    He's eating well although he poops a lot less than I expected he would for his age! Not complaining though lol!

    His favourite toy is a little green squeaky frog thing that he loves to scrag and runs about with it in his mouth, honestly every little thing he does is either adorable or hilarious! 

    One of his ears has started to go floppy, in your experience do you think it will come up?

     Obviously there's not a chance in hell that I wouldn't want him but I would be a bit disappointed if we couldn't have a go at showing but the vet said that it should come up in time.

    He looks amazing in his little jackets! I ordered him a couple more off the internet too (again I'll send you pics).
    I guess that's its for now, sorry to hear your losing all your pups! I have to admit I used to struggle with letting ours go too, so hard not to get attached! 
    Again I just have to say thank you so much, he is the absolute light of my life and

     I think think his character and the way he has settled in says a great deal about his breeding and how he has been brought up :)

    Dear Pat,
     
    Just a note to thank you so much for all the help and sound advice you gave
    me with Bambi's precious delivery.  Your advice was spot on and more than
    that you were a great source of comfort to me and kept me calm when I was
    starting to really fear the worst.  Now in no small part thanks to your wise
    advice I have a healthy mum and a litter of thriving little Chi's.
     
    They are all gaining good weight and eating well (Bambi included). The
    colours have changed a little one chocolate female with black mask,
    one dark brown male with black mask and one blue male with black mask.
    Will send photos later today or tomorrow at latest.  All are perfect beautiful
    apple dome heads and I am overjoyed at such a good outcome.
     
    I don't regret taking the decision to have Bambi spayed as she is so small
    I would not have put her through that again...it was too heart stopping for
    me as well !

    Dear Friend

     We now find ourselves in an extremely serious financial situation, which is about to affect our ability to continue feeding and caring for our animals

    We have to thank our regular suppliers of feed and hay and our vets, who have up to now been very patient and extremely understanding of our plight

    There is only so much leeway they can afford to give us with regards to settlement of their bills. Regrettably, we have had to make some staffing cutbacks

    but the remaining staff have been brilliant in managing to care for our rescued animals Unfortunately, we couldn’t have predicted this current recession

      all the spare funds we’ve had in the past have now been tied up in extra land, which is now home to the many animals who live there.

     It is fortunate that we do have some legacies due but they are mostly reliant on the sale of property before funds can be released to us.

     These are being held up owing to the serious slump in the housing market.

    Hello , I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. In June this year I homed one of Julie’s puppies from Pancho and Tiger Lilly. A little girl named Coco, I just thought I would share her progress with you  as she has brought myself and my partner such love and joy. I found her through your website  and I must say I find myself browsing through your pages almost every day now! I have made good friends with Julie now also and I try to keep in contact with her  as often as possible, this is lovely for me  as I enjoy the company of people that are as passionate about Chihuahuas as I am. Your website brings me so much joy and I have learned a lot just from reading it,  thank you so much for giving me such good access to the world of Chihuahuas. It would be lovely to meet you one day and I can assure you   I will be extending my chi family  as my life would no longer be complete without them!   Coco is extremely loved by us and has completely changed my life for the better,  I have attached some pics of us for you to see!        I just wanted to thank you for the generous giving of your time this
    afternoon, and for your understanding on my health situation.  Having
    seen so many unscrupulous looking people, it was such a relief to find
    you!  Your website conveyed the feeling that you are a trustworthy,
    loving and supportive breeder, and judging by our meeting today, you
    certainly are!  A joy to find you!
     
     
    I will be in contact with you in the next couple of days to let you
    know what I've decided, but I believe I may have left my heart with
    your littler, darker boy.....?!!!  We'll see how I go over the next 24

     Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well.'

    And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them

    and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations,

    so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration.' 
    And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.

    And Cat would not obey them.

    And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes,

    they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

    And Adam and Eve learned humility.
    And they were greatly improved.
