Junk in the China Sea. Glynne Pritchard kindly sent me this picture, and added "I think this is my favourite of all the photographs I took deep sea. The junk is too far away to be a technically good photo, although I have got the horizon level. To me it epitomises the forenoon watch in the China sea, or somehow, (wrong junk!), around Java, after working out morning Longitude and 'running up to noon', or maybe a long run between bearings and leaning on the bridge rail, keeping a lookout and enjoying the environment. Decks washed down that morning, drying out. Enjoying the sun. Maybe not too far from port and looking forward to mail from home."
I couldn't agree more.
