Seems to have been a little late in the war to be getting a Submarine Menace Certificate, but then better late than never I suppose. I was puzzled about the warning 'Not to be taken to Sea' until I read the story of Capt Fryatt, an M.N. captain who rammed and sank a u-boat. He was later captured and executed by the Germans as a franc-tireur. Clearly the warning was aimed at avoiding another incident of this kind. The document measures 8 inches by 6.5.
