Number 5 Tween Deck in Hong Kong in 1949. Stanton pipes in the foreground. We must have carried millions of them to the Far East at that time. We carried even more bottles of Guinness. It seemed strange to carry such a 'heavy' drink out to such hot climates but perhaps the slogan 'a baby in every bottle' had something to do with it. On the lower right of the picture is a case of Jacob's Biscuits (stowed upside down!). The bale top left is likely to be Lancashire cotton piece goods.
