Members of the Lions Club of Torpoint and Rame Peninsula are 'ordinary people' from all walks of life. Our common aim is to actively engage ourselves in charitable projects in and around the Rame Peninsula. We are a non-political, non-sectarian organisation, whose members enjoy doing the things they do in the knowledge that their input will help and benefit many local good causes.
The 'ordinary people' who make up our membership are volunteers who are willing to give back to the community, some of their time, energy and enthusiasm.
We are part of the largest international service organisation in the world; with 1.3 million 'ordinary' members, within 45,000 Clubs, throughout some 200 countries and geographical areas. We all devote time to fundraising activities which ultimately benefit each Club's local communities.
Our motto is - "WE SERVE" - and this is something that the men and women of our Club do with pride. We serve people within the community and ensure that every single penny received from our work and your grateful donations is used for the benefit of others.
The Club meets once a month to review appeals, review local needs and to pool ideas for future events. There is a close 'family atmosphere' within Lionism, and this is reflected in our social calendar. We have fun !!!
Whilst membership of Lions is by invitation only, our Club is always keen to welcome new members, both male and female. If you would like to know more about Torpoint & Rame Peninsula Lions Club and feel you have some spare time to give to the community then please contact the webmaster or:
