LOCATION
The Isle of Harris is
unique in every way imaginable. Though joined to Lewis it has an air and views
that are totally different to what you will find in the north.

The area is ideal for hill walking, bird watching, water sports, fishing or just
"getting away from it all".
There is a 9 hole golf course on the machair of Scarista that has stunning views
of the hills of North Harris and the Atlantic ocean.
The location of “Tamh” is
ideal as it is central for exploring Harris. Some of the major attractions
nearby include the village of Tarbert with it’s swimming pool, Hotel and craft
shops. Only 30 minutes drive away you have access to 'Seallam!'
Visitor Centre
which is one of the best genealogical research centres in Scotland and St
Clements Church in Rodel, where the Macleod chiefs used to worship in the early
1500's.
The name Harris comes
from the old Norse meaning 'high land' and the island is often described as the
'high heart of the Hebrides'. The island is probably best known for its tweed
which bears the island's name.
Whether you are discovering it’s rugged east coast or lazing on the beaches of it’s west coast Harris is a destination which will inspire and refresh you whatever your circumstances.
“Tamh” offers much more than accommodation it is an experience not to be missed.
