Welcome to the website of Soul Cargo Record Fairs
We organise Record & CD Fairs in a variety of town across Cheshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, North Wales and the West Midlands.
We also sell a variety of records etc on this site as can be seen by the headings to the left. Items are listed by format, artist, title and label, condition (sleeve, then vinyl) and price.
May 2008 Record Fairs
Saturday/Sunday May 10/11th: Grove Hotel, Grove Parade, BUXTON. Possibly one of the best holiday town Fairs we've ever done. The April Fair was VERY busy both days. This hotel is right in the heart of the town. Fully booked. There are stalls available.
Saturday May 24th: Fishpond Hotel, South Parade, MATLOCK BATH. Right in the heart of this very busy main street, and on a holiday weekend. Our March Fair went well for both Good Friday and Easter Saturday despite the snow and rain (ands sun!). There are only 3 stalls left.
Sunday 25th: Cobridge Community Centre, Bursley Road, Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent. This is our most popular Fair and is well sign-posted off the main Waterloo Road. Normally between 18-24 dealers attend. This is an exceptionally good Fair for vinyl lovers - although there are plenty of CD's as well. Free on-site parking. See top left Fair photo. Just a few stalls left. Lots of advertising in both local papers. Our April Fair was extremely busy which is more than I can say for the VIP Fair that was put on in Stoke to coincide with ours. As one of their dealers said to us 'Chris Savory 4, VIP 0'.
Not our Fair but we shall be at Lichfield's, Wade Street Record Fair on Saturday May 17th. It looks set to be very busy and a lot of dealers have already booked.
Thursdays: Newcastle-u-Lyme High Street Market. Up to 6/7 record stalls - most centred around the Nat West Bank/Woolworth area. Open 8am-3pm. Albums from as low as 20p and singles from 50p ++++ a wide range of CD's.
