
JK and MotS Gravity Gun
Fully-functional Gravity Gun for JK and MotS. Inspired by, and works in much the same way as the Half-Life 2 one. Versatility is the main goal – It works with any game object in any level (even user-made ones). SP and MP compatible. Replaces the Bryar Pistol. Watch the introduction video, then try it out!
Features
- Full Half-Life 2 Gravity Gun features.- Ability to manipulate any game object, including actors, powerups, projectiles and static objects such as crates and decor.
- Object reversion system - Objects return to normal (e.g. static objects can't be moved) after manipulation, so as not to affect gameplay.
- Fully compatible with any SP or MP, original or custom, JK or MotS level.
- Elementary stack physics system - Objects above a manipulated object will fall if they lose support. For example, you can pull off individual pieces of the gantry on Cloud City Gantry (MotS), or target the gantry itself and throw the whole lot down the pit, railings and all.
- Model, animations and sounds
- Three versions - Classic, Extreme and Unlimited (see further down)
- Configurable power, range, mass mode, mass cutoff and debug mode (Unlimited version only / JK only supports power, mass mode and mass cutoff).
Controls
Primary fire: Emit gravity blast to move objects.Secondary fire: Pick up an object.
Primary fire whilst carrying an object: Throw object.
Secondary fire whilst carrying an object: Drop object gently.
Versions
This Gravity Gun release comes with three versions - Classic, Extreme and Unlimited.Classic: Classic Half-Life 2 Gravity Gun.
(Standard power, standard range, mass affects calculations, standard mass cutoff, debug mode off)
Extreme: Gravity Gun with no mass limitations for more fun with larger objects.
Standard power, standard range, mass has no effect on calculations, unlimited mass cutoff, debug mode off)
Unlimited: Hotkey-configurable Gravity Gun (default configuration is Classic)
(5 power settings, 5 range settings (+ unlimited), configurable mass mode, 5 mass cutoff settings (+ unlimited), configurable debug mode)
Settings
Power: Controls the speed objects are thrown and blasted at.Range: Controls the range at which objects can be targeted.
Mass mode: Determines whether to consider the mass of an object when calculating throw speeds etc. (i.e. heavier objects don't go as far)
Mass cutoff: Can be set to prevent the Gravity Gun from picking up objects above a certain weight.
Debug Mode: When turned on, debug messages will be printed to the screen when an object is manipulated or an object reverts. (Notes: Settings are only available in the Unlimited version. JK only supports power, mass mode and mass cutoff due to its lack of support for more than 3 hotkeys. Hotkeys must be assigned to settings before use).
