Scream MP: Source

Scream MP: Source is essentially Scream Multiplayer for Half-Life 2. I remade (but never released) the Scream MP house for the original Half-Life to learn a brush-based engine and then converted it to Half-Life 2. This project has now been frozen, and probably cancelled.

If complete, Scream MP: Source would have featured:

- The same house you know from the original Scream MP but with many graphical and dynamic updates.

- Half-Life 2's physics system and many throwable, pushable and breakable objects for creating blockades and use as weapons.

- High quality textures sourced from actual photographs with a minimum texture size of 512x512 pixels for all major textures (maximum texture size of original Scream MP is 256x256).

- Special effects such as bump-mapping on wood and bricks to add depth, full reflectivity on water and specular bump-mapping for ultra-realistic reflective metallic surfaces (light switches, boiler etc.).

- More detailed TVs with removeable plugs (like the ones in Half-Life 2)

- Better lighting system which still incorporates switchable lights for every room but includes shadowing for objects.

- Greatly improved security cameras with real-time screen viewing, allowing you to watch the cameras whilst still being alert to the rest of the room.
