Children and Young People
Christ the King is a very child friendly church and we want the young people to know that they can play a full part in the life of the church and also to have their own special activities where they can grow in their relationship with God in the way that is best for them.
Sunday Morning Activities for Children
We are J.A.M (Jesus And Me)! Three groups designed for three different ages of young
people which do age-
What groups are available?
There are several different groups and each one is described below:
Mini J.A.M -
Mini – J.A.M meet at the back of church. We have all sorts of toys and try to do an activity which links in to the older children and the main service. We try to provide helpers at crèche so your parents can enjoy the service.
J.A.M -
We all meet in the Community Room during the 10am service, and we re-
We like to explore the Bible by all sorts of methods:
We draw and write.
We talk and question what we think about the story.
We act stories out.
We play games!
What else? We learn to pray, and we build a friendship with God.
J.A.M Xtra – for KS3 and above

Asking questions, acting out, thinking, considering, craft, music, thinking more, discussing, questioning, challenging, small groups, noisy, silence, experimental prayer, just chatting to God, Bible stories, drama, art.........................

Butterflies
Every month (except August) we have a service on the second Friday at 2pm for parents (and grandparents) and their toddler children. We concentrate on a theme, with a story and some songs, in church for about half an hour and then move to our Common Room to do some craft work and have a drink....And its all over by 3pm in case you have other children to collect from school.
