Tai Chi Classes (for beginners and improvers):

  • Our Tai Chi classes take you all the way to advanced level and allow you to cover Tai Chi Chuan in as much depth as you wish.

  • Beginners are always welcome. The beginners' syllabus gives you a thorough introduction to what Tai Chi is. It covers the Foundation (Short) Form, Chi Kung, key concepts and principles, some aspects of applications & self-defence (if required), working with energy (Chi) and more. The sessional rate is discounted for monthly payment and there are further discounts for those who want to train more than once a week. Please call or email for the latest info on costs.

  • During class each student works at his/her level. We train together at the beginning whilst we do our Chi Kung, warm up exercises and Forms. We then split up to work in groups who are studying the same material. The instructor will then circulate helping each student to advance and achieve their full potential within Tai Chi. Sometimes the class will be brought together to work on principles and concepts as a single group.
     
  • The emphasis is on experiential study of Tai Chi so you can feel what the principles and concepts of internal energy are, instead of just understanding them intellectually.
