The Art of Kit Williams. Here shows page 1 from his book Masquerade Williams pays a lot of attention to detail in his paintings and so consequently his paintings take days to complete. At an Art exhibition Williams noticed that people spent a few seconds at his paintings and then moved on. Williams vowed to make people look at his paintings and so he came up with the treasure hunt idea. Consequently he made millions of people study his paintings in minute detail. |

Les Bergers d'ArcadieNicolas PoussinYes yes I know, nothing can be seen here. Wonder why it was copied several times in the eighteenth century then? These copies sometimes having cryptic messages associated with them? Any answers? |

Adoration of the MagiNicolas PoussinYou do have to wonder precisely why Poussin painted the precisely the same pose for the Shepherds as in Les Bergers d'Arcadie pictured above. One he's paying homage to the baby Jesus and the other to a Latin phrase of nonsense on a tomb. ?Like I said: Art should make you think! |

This beautiful girl is
Eva Cassidywho died of cancer on Nov 1st 1996. She was 33 The painting is by her. Overlaid by her photograph (Note the tear.) She once said that she can't sing and that's why she paints. Her insecurity was part of her charm. She did artwork for record covers and on one occasion she was painting a mural inside a recording studio when someone heard her singing to herself whilst she was painting. She was given a recording contract and became a blues singer. Who in this world thinks she can't sing? No one. She recorded the heart rending 'Fields of Gold' (written by Sting) which has become the theme for the fight against cancer Her art, her voice, her presence are beautiful, why has she been taken from us? |
