After returning to England from the United States in August 1993, I began a new school year almost straight away. Since the curriculum in American schools is approximately two years behind that of England, I had to work extremely hard to readjust.
To span this gap in my education, it was necessary for me to sustain a very rapid level of learning. In many subjects, I undertook a workload that would ordinarily take up to four years to complete, in just two. The immense amount of time and dedication I invested resulted in the GCSE grades shown below. I am extremely proud of this achievement.
