A very successful Kata Special course was held at Kincorth Academy on 7th and 8th May. Club members from all over the country were lucky enough to be trained by Dr Fritz Wendland from Germany, Sensei Alf Ronnie Fagerland from Norway, and Sensei Ronnie Watt. A great time was had, and several katas were covered by each group of students.
After the training on Sunday, squad members demoinstrated their skills to the Consul General of Japan, Mr S Takahashi, who then presented the 2005 Scottish Samurai award to Tyrone Smith from Grampian TV.
