Watt has finally been exposed as being what many ‘in the know’ have believed for years. Like Layton’s previous works, this is a must read for all serious Shotokan karateka, at whatever level and whatever depth of interest. It offers an intriguing insight into karate’s colourful past in Scotland from a man who was at its heart. Watt is simply a karateka who has not only done it all, but he has done it with and against the best. I couldn’t put it down, a definite one for the library.
