One thing you can say about Lancashire and Yorkshire - there sure are some dirty great big hills around here! It may be a bit of a slog hacking your way up to the top of these Pennine hills, but what a view you get when you reach there. Whilst you're sitting down gasping for breath and having a badly needed rest the inspiring sights to be seen are almost enough to revive you, though the thought of that ice cold pint at a nearby pub does help too! Watergrove Reservoir during the drought a couple of summers back. You can see some of the old gateposts appearing as the water lowers, a village was flooded back in the 1930s to create this water supply:
