The Mytholmroyd Walk!
This walk in June 2002 was one of our better days weatherwise, and we got to see some nice, and even unusual sights. There are a lot of strange things in Yorkshire (especially the people!;-) ), but I never expected to see a Bison or a Spanish Bull. We were even fortunate enough to see a Heron poking its head above the reeds as well.

1). It was unusual to see a Bison in northern England, but it was very nice to see all the cattle back in the fields again this year. (92kb) |

2). This Heron kindly poked its head up above the reeds at the side of the canal just long enough for me to take its picture. (95kb) |
|
3). Same Heron, I took this one because I thought the reflections in the water looked nice - awh!:-) (72kb) |
|
4). This Spanish bull was a long way home, and not a Matador in sight. All the same, I'll bet he would still have liked to throw me over the nearest wall. Mind you, I think there are a few ladies in the walking group who would like to do the same given half a chance!:-) (73kb) |

5). I just can't resist taking photographs of these lovely reflection, some of these scenes would make very nice paintings I reckon! (74kb) |
|
6). Another nice reflective shot taken from a different angle. (93kb) |
