Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and then accepted as a true record.

Matter arising

X-country series – Terry Richardson had visited the Clowne Cricket pavilion, he thought that the venue would be OK and we would only be charged £20. The race could start and finish from the venue although several marshals would be required for along the main road. Free tea and coffee would be provided but there would be a requirement for plastic cups and water at the end.

Trevor Platts has organised the trophies.

Terry also reported a change of location for the Retford race, it was reverting back to its old venue.

Presentation night - John Proffitt reported that everything went ok and suggested that some music might be better for next year as a few people would have liked to dance.

Avis and Paul thanked the membership for the tankards presented to them on presentation night.

Tsunami Run - Welbeck looked to be out of the reckoning. Initial enquiries have drawn a blank. Les said that the momentum to do something needed to continue while the event was fresh in people's minds.

Half Marathon – Several people debated the suggested prizes; the bobble hats and baseball caps were thought to be too expensive. The polo shirts did not come in a range of sizes but the miniatures were still an option. John Harrison said he would look into the cost of some T-shirts; Les reminded the club that a decision would be required soon.

New Business

Grand Prix – Steve Shipp handed out the first results of the year.

A.O.B.

Andrew Porter asked if the handicap race would be held in the first week of July, the reply was 'Yes'.

Les Banton held a quick auction for a Puma sports watch to raise money for the Tsunami appeal. Dennis Learad and Geoff Jackson both bid with Dennis topping the bids with £30.

Meeting closed @ 21:15.
