The minutes of the previous meeting
were read and agreed as a true record with the exception of the section relating
to the London Marathon Draw, the amendment relates to point 1 and should read:-
‘Any committee member who wished to
run could make a claim for a place’ if more than 2 committee members made a
claim then the places would be voted for.
Presentation Night - the
Chairman said it was a good night and he thanked everyone for attending and
getting involved, the winners, the organisers, the caterers - everyone.
Clowne Cross Country, March 4th - the catering was in hand and the venue was booked. There
will be around 120 people to cater for.
Steve Shipp said he could not
attend the Kilamarsh X-country and someone was needed to do the time keeping.
Hilary Smith said there was a possibility that her husband could do it, Terry
would also ask Roger Street.
Membership Secretary -
fees due 1st April, Dennis would prepare and send everyone a letter
covering the detail required from the membership association.
Clowne Half Marathon - no
issues
Club Secretary – no
further issues.
Club Captain - Dave
thanked Andrew Ward for the last 12 months and for the effort he had put in on
training nights adding that we were very lucky to have someone like Andy taking
time to do run these sessions. Dave added that the relay nights had not been
well attended in the past few months but it is hoped that we might be able to
gain a few more attendees soon.
Andy said he would be holding a
warm up session before the start of the Kilamarsh XC race.
Club Treasurer - no
issues.
Social Secretary - no
issues
Grand Prix - 2 races have
taken place so far, no standings have been issued yet.
President - no issues
Worksop Membership – no
issues
AOB – a question was
raised from the floor wondering if Andrew Porter would be too busy to do the
handicap race? – Terry would approach Andrew.
