Matters arising

Clowne Half MarathonJohn Proffitt said that he had passed three hats to Greg Goddard. Although not at the meeting, Gregg had sent word that the embroidered labels could be purchased at less than 14p per label. Greg was now deciding what the label should say and would be in touch with Les before the next meeting to finalise things. Trevor Platt would also check the prices for embroidery.

Elmton Chase – Roger Street was not available to do the time keeping at Elmton, Steve Shipp said he would take over the role. Terry said he would be sorting out the marshalling. The footpath officer had been contacted and was already aware of the race. Lewis Banton would run the course to see what condition it was in. Terry distributed a number of Elmton Chase flyers to the membership.

Web site - no issues.

Handicap Race no issues

Summer X-county – Steve Shipp reported that the race would be held at the Retford Rugby club on the 14th July starting at 19:30. A buffet would be provided afterwards, no cost involved.

Training Night – John Proffitt reported that attendance had dropped off again, probably because of the number of fell races currently being held. The ongoing situation would be monitored.

Lady Members– Michelle had designed some business cards and flyers; they were passed around the meeting for the opinion of the membership. Geoff Jackson suggested maybe a telephone number could be added so people could talk to a member before deciding whether to come to the club. Steve Shipp would like the Ranby prison details added so he could be a contact. Michelle had already approached a local printer who had quoted £40 per 500. Michelle said she would progress with some of the detail on her return from holiday.

Michelle said she would approach the Derbyshire times to put an article on their Woman and Home page. Terry Richardson also mentioned that the Worksop trader was circulated in the area and was free.

Grand Prix – Steve Shipp handed out the latest results and Grand Prix standings. Congratulations to Andy Ward who broke the course record for the Tigers Ten race with a time of 52.53.
