The meeting opened with the Chairman announcing the sad news that Terry Shipp died yesterday.
The meeting held a minute's silence in tribute.
Terry Richardson announced that Terry Shipp had been the real push behind the club getting the X-cross series going.
Steve Shipp announced that there would by a minutes silence at the next X-country event.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were read, an amendment was required relating to the John Harrison making an enquiry for a price for bobble hats and not T-shirts as stated.
Matters arising
Tsunami Run no further progress has been made. A suggestion was made that the fee for the Elmton chase be increase by £1 as a contribution. The proposal was agreed by the meeting.
Half Marathon John Harrison reported that the bobble hats mentioned at the previous meeting were £4 each and this was thought to be too expensive.
John Proffitt had found someone who could do bobble hats for £1 if we purchased 650 of them, embroidering would be extra. Greg would look into this.
Les reported the CHM would retain its gold status for next year.
X-Country - now more or less all organised.
On the day we need to point out to people not to park on the pitch but to park around the perimeter.
Also the 'no muddy boots' sign would be required.
Marshals were required and the course had to be marked out.
Terry to ring the owners of the horses in the field and try to get them moved.
The catering has been organised.
Grand Prix Steve Shipp handed out the results which now included the Retford and Handsworth X-country races.
It was suggested that it might be a good idea if universal entry forms could be brought to the meeting.
New Business
There were two trips for the membership to note, the first being on the 5th May
Bay of Morlaix (France) The Chairman mentioned that you can fly Birmingham Breast and Roger Radford would be there to pick you up from the airport.
Isle of Bute, including the10k race. The dates are 19th -20th -21st August.
A £45 deposit would be required ASAP Total cost £115.
Departure would be on the 19th @ 08:00.back about 19:00 on the Sunday.
Race Secretary Correspondence Dennis announced that new legislation was now in place and people who use an inhaler must register the fact via the club to UK athletics.
A letter had been received from Dennis Learad (himself) informing the club that he would be running the London Marathon for motor-neuron disease and would like some sponsorship and dispensation for not running in a club vest.
(This would not be needed at it was a category 4 race)
The club proposed £50 for Dennis's charity
Chairman announced that he would be running for the Dream's Come True charity and would be sending a letter in to Dennis as required under the new rule.

Dave Johnson proposed a re-launch of the training night from the Clowne Community Centre. It was debated that it should be moved to a Thursday night, starting on the 31st March 2005 @19:00. Andy Ward to be contacted
Someone enquired if any additional entries had been received for the London Marathon, Les replied "no".
