CLUB X-COUNTRY RESULT:

Clowne Road Runners triumphed in Sunday's final race of the cross country series,
which have local teams Retford A.C., Handsworth Road Hogs, and Killamarsh
competing for honours.

Clowne Road Runner gained the, first three places, with Andy Ward finishing first
and who won the Men's individual trophy, followed by Lewis Banton and the third
place went to 16 year old Kyle Craib a future name to watch as he finished in front
of the experienced Retford A.C. runner Peter Tallents, who finished 4th.

The over 40's Trophy went to Peter Roberts, the owner of Whitwell News.

The over 50's Trophy going to Reg. Bestwick previously a Worksop Harrier but
now finding his running legs with Clowne Road Runners.

The over all trophy which combines both Men and Ladies teams has been
provisionally won by Killamarsh, but a recount is taking place which could result in
Clowne Road Runners taking this trophy.

Clowne Road Runners are always looking for new members, details can be found
on the web site www.clowneroadrunners.co.uk and with annual subscriptions of
only £10, an excellent training night for beginners and experienced runners each
Thursday 7.00pm from Clowne Community Centre, and ideal way to burn of those
extra pounds.
Lewis & Andy @ County Fell Racing Championships
Lewis Banton and Andy Ward were awarded their county colours (the first for the club) at
the recent inter county fell racing championships held at Belmont Winter Hill in Lancashire.
