The recent joint concert with the Praze Hayle Male Voice Choir from Cornwall proved to be a very successful evening with a full audience at the Neeld Hall.
The concert was introduced by Bill Greenwood, President of Chippenham Rotary Club, who spoke about the SNAP appeal and Club activities and achievements
in fund raising approximately £60,000 in the past 12 months.
During the concert the Praze Hayle choir sang 18 pieces under musical director Ann Birch and CMVC sang 9 pieces under conductor Bob Jones who also played
a clarinet solo. Peter Field amused the audience with the monologue ‘You Should Have Ask My Husband’. The concert ended with the two choirs joining
together singing The Rhythm of Life.
The Praze Hayle choir presented a plaque to CMVC to commemorate their visit to Chippenham.
Amanda Parr, Patron of the SNAP appeal thanked the audience for their support and the two choirs for a very enjoyable concert.
As a result of the evening the SNAP appeal will benefit by approximately £1000.
The choir now have two concerts in April. The first is at The Town Hall, Corsham for Cancer Research on Friday 18 April.
This is followed by a joint concert for the British Heart Foundation with the 4+1 Jazz Group in the Social Centre, Bromham on Friday 25 April.
