Yoga

The branch is providing free Yoga places to all Members and Carers on Thursday Mornings on the second floor, Ballybot House. To book your place or for further information please contact Susan at the above number.

Art Classes

Our Current Art Tutor Diane McKevitt has gone on Maternity Leave.The Tutor covering Dianes leave is Agnes Murray. Art Classes are now on Tuesday mornings from 11.00am – 1.00pm Costing £2.50 per Class in the rear half of the conference Room, second floor, Ballybot House. Please book your place by contacting the Office at the above telephone number or email.

Share Holiday Village, Fermanagh

There are still some vacancies for the Share Chalets from Easter to September. One Week costs £120.00 – sleeps up to eight people

WHEELCHAIRS FOR SHORT TERM HIRE

The MS Society has purchased a light weight wheelchair. Ffor members wishing to borrow it for a short term e.g. to take on holidays, the Wheelchair is available from the Red Cross tel: 3833 - 3415 and 07-711-085-279 A minimum donation of £6.00 a week must be made to the Red Cross to facilitate cleaning and servicing of the Chair.

MS NURSE – SOUTHERN AREA BOARD.

The MS Nurse – Heidi Thompson is now based in the Southern Area. She can be contacted at Craigavon Hospital on 028 3861 - 3863.

Social Activites

Our branch would like to provide more social activities for people with MS and their Carers/Partners. Some members have suggested Painting Classes or Fly Fishing and so, we would like your feedback. If you are interested in these or any other activity, please let us know by contacting Susan in the office.

MS Support Group

The group meets from 7.00pm – 9.00pm Room C, 2nd Floor, Ballybot House.

All those interested, should contact the office for details about the next meeting.

Parachute Jump

The Branch would like to thank all of those who took part in the parachute jumps which, to date, has raised a total of £4,714. Many thanks to everyone involved with this exciting event!

Group Physiotherapy Project

A Group Physiotherapy Project (Exercise with Physio – Sean Curran) is being run by the local Health Trust. It is available to people with a neurological condition and is taking place in the Iris Centre in Bessbrook for two hours on a Wednesday from 10.30am – 12.30pm. For further information or to be referred please contact Susan at branch office.

The international MS wristband is the centrepiece of the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation’s (MSIF) global campaign ‘A World Without MS!’ which supports research, advocacy and education in the international fight against multiple sclerosis (MS).
