The sites are both to discuss coffee, home roasting, espresso machines,
techniques and ideas. It's also the home of a UK first, the Coffeetime Greens
Club, a co-operative of Coffeetime members who bulk buy green coffee
beans at wholesale prices.
The Coffeetime
forum - This Coffee Forum is
full of discussion all about coffee beans, home roasting, espresso
machines, espresso and other drinks. As it's completely non-commercial,
you can have an open discussion, with un-biased advice and ideas about
anything to do with coffee
The Coffeetime Wiki - A resource
library for the coffee forum. The Wiki
will capture (and people can rewrite) interesting forum articles, so that
information doesn't get "lost" and the same questions don't have to be asked
time and time again.
Also Coffeetime members can enter articles directly
into the Coffeetime Wiki
On either the coffee forum, or the Coffeetime Wiki there
is specific information on the Coffeetime Greens Club (UK), our buying co-operative and the
home roasters source of quality green coffee at wholesale prices (very cheap
compared to buying online), plus more information on Home Roasting
As I have got older I have often wondered if too much
coffee can be bad for you, but have come to the conclusion that you can never
have too much coffee.
Both sites run on free software and as such have
limited (but powerful) facilities.
The coffeetime website will gradually reduce in
size to a main portal page, plus a few other pages, dealing with things the
other two sites cannot. So Coffeetime is growing and definitely has outgrown the
web authoring software used to produce this site, which was becoming more
difficult to use as the site increased in size.
