I have been very fortunate to receive some sponsorship from Oldfield Partners LLP, an investment management firm based in London. This sponsorship has enabled me to purchase a boat - "Diablo" and get it up to a world class competitive condition. Richard Oldfield sees this sponsorship as good news in a time of bad news. This funding will ensure that we will be competing at the the Disabled World Championships in Athens in October.
Diablo Risen
My new boat is GBR 8. This boat was recently owned by the RYA but it had been allowed to get into a poor condition. It has now however been totally rebuilt by Linton Jenkins and Sam Pascoe of Full Force Boats - the lightweight foiling specialists in Weymouth. They have done a fantastic job and I believe that Diablo will be the lightest and fastest Skud 18 at the Worlds.

The Disability Challenge
In 1999 I had a life changing moment, I fell down a mountain in France. The net result was permanent paralysis from the mid chest down. My life was instantly changed - but it wasn't necessarily changed for the worse. I spent some time recovering and taking stock with my partner Sarah.
