GBR 79 is my new number. The new boat has been registered as GBR 79. I will be using this number internationally. I may still do a few regattas as GBR 53 as I still have a sail or two left.

GBR 53 gone! Sold GBR 53 to a good home and brought one of Andrew Milband's old boats. Used over the past few days at Team GBR training at Weymouth. It seemed to go quite well. Some work to be done on it but hopefully not too much. I plan to train with it at Weymouth w/c 21 Feb ready for the first racing of the season 26 and 27 Feb.

Team GBR training at Weymouth last Thursday through to Sunday with Mark Rushall as coach was very good. The weather, for January, extremly mild and we had a variety of wind conditions. Lots and lots of boat handling and masses of starts. Very good. Thank you Mark

Sponsor Hunting at the boat show
on Thursday - generous offer of fittings from Ronstan, will probably take them up. One other iron in the fire but cash funding urgently needed. Back at the show Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Bloody Mary yesterday was a very high wind event. Decided not to enter as the chance of boat failure was very high. Only one 2.4 entered and therefore won the Sailability prize that I won last year - well done Val, hope the boat did not suffer too much.
