Arabella Rose
Our daughter Arabella was born April 7th 2006 at William Harvey Hospital in Kent, she is an ICSI IVF baby conceived at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith London.
As a paraplegic conception was not straightforward and I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to father my own child. The road to this point was not easy and we were given the wrong information at many of the turning points. In my experience it is important to learn as much about all the options as possible and not let failure or negativity from professionals put you off. There are very few consultants in fertility that have worked with spinally injured patients and it is too easy for others just to fob you off. Persiverence is very important. Arabella Rose has taken five years.
