Lodge Family Day to
Heads of Ayr Farm Park
In August the Lodge had its annual family day out and this time we were off to the Heads of Ayr Farm Park. Again the main driving force behind this venture was Bro Brian Gibson and his wife Esther. After a not insignificant time trying to tie down one of the gazebos in what was at least a force 22 gale, we got the usual barbeque set up and yours truly made another fine mess of the cooking, ably hindered in the activity by Bro Colin Boyd. The barbeque was again its usual success (no-one was actually diagnosed with food poisoning) with more being cooked than eaten. The foregoing statement is either a compliment on the generosity of the contributors or a slur on my cooking. A really fun time was had on the quad bikes, the big balloon (not Brian) and around the animal enclosures. The kids also had an enjoyable time. Photographs shall be forthcoming after the necessary editing, but I have, as I write this, placed them in another secure place. Once more, thanks go to all who were involved in organising another great day out.
