The White House Low Street

Photo on the Right.

The old butchers shop on the corner of Low Street and Temperance Lane (prior to renovation), thought to be one of the oldest buildings in the village. Animals went in through the right hand door at night and were slaughtered inside. The meat was sold through the window.

Photo on the Left.

The house during renovation in 1984. Note the timber frame construction.
