Combe Lodge
Combe Lodge is a small,
private guest house run by the proprietors Linda and Peter Wileman. Situated on
the North Devon heritage coast, the property enjoys a commanding position
overlooking Ilfracombe harbour and the surrounding countryside. We offer a quiet

Combe Lodge is only a short
walk from the shops, theatre and harbour. The South West Coastal Path passes
close by and many local footpaths and routes are accessible directly from the
property.

Access Statement
Introduction
We
aim to cater for the needs of all of our guest house visitors. The following
statement is a summary of our facilities. If you have any specific questions
please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be pleased to help.
Pre-
Arrival
The
nearest railway station (Barnstaple) is 30 minutes away by car. There is a
frequent bus service from Barnstaple railway station to Ilfracombe bus station.
Many buses continue to the bus stop local to our guest house, from which there
is a 300 metre up hill walk. As an alternative, a taxi service is available
from Ilfracombe bus station, with a journey time of approximately 3-5 minutes.
Arrival
and Parking
The
driveway and car park are on a slope and provide parking for 6 cars.
Assistance
with luggage is offered to guests.
Accommodation
is available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. We ask guests to provide an
approximate time of arrival so that we can ensure that we are available to
greet them.
Entrance
and Reception
The
entrance to the house is by the way of 4 steps with a side hand rail up to the
front door. The entrance is illuminated at night. The entrance hall and
reception area have a tiled floor with stairs leading to the upper floors.
There is a pay phone in reception and a bell push to contact staff if needed.
A
small guest toilet is located in the entrance area.

Room
The
dining room is accessed via a doorway from the reception area. Breakfast is
served in this room.

Areas
We
have a lounge on the ground floor accessed via a doorway from the reception
area. The lounge is equipped with armchairs and sofas and has a TV/Video/DVD.

rooms, each with a bath/shower

with a shower, a double bed and a single bed
