The Local Area
Exmoor National Park is less than five miles distant with walking and numerous other country pursuits on offer. Many of our guests find that a single visit is rarely enough to experience the full beauty of the area.
The town of Ilfracombe itself has been a popular destination since Victorian times. During the day, the visitor has a vast choice of activities including boating, browsing the local gift shops or simply taking in the atmosphere of the harbour as the day’s catch is landed. By night the town provides a good selection of restaurants and entertainment options, including a renowned local theatre.
For the more active, there is an indoor heated swimming pool directly opposite the property and the famous surfing beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde are a ten minute drive away.
Combe Lodge is an ideal base for walking, touring, cycling and golfing holidays. There are spaces to park your car in the grounds.
