'68 | 1.0l Hillman Imp | F4 single-seater | Formula 4 was, by and large, the resting home for 'out-dated' F3 cars. When the F3 engine capacity regulations changed from 1.0l to 1.5l, there were lots of redundant F3 cars around. F4 was established to give these cars a home. Ginetta decided to build a car to the regulations, and the G17 appeared, powered by a highly-tuned Imp engine.
