Overview This is essentially what Atari did with the VCS/2600 when they decided to attempt to enter the lucrative Japanese market. Re-branding the machine to the Atari 2800, they released it in quite limited numbers complete with freshly repackaged versions of popular US titles. As the machine is essentially a 2600 with a different case, the guts of the machine are the same, and obviously this means the system specifications are too. If you want to find out more about the machine that spawned this, the 2600 article is here. But because we're so nice, here's a spiffy picture of the machine in all its glory. Behold!
