This
is part of a large practice which was started on the
4th July 1988 to provide excellent whole person care.
We aim to have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and
long enough consultations so that people will be able
to talk.
This
is a Christian practice. We will never impose our
beliefs on people, but will treat people equally and
will respect them as unique and important individuals.
We completed a huge extension in January 2008 so now have plenty of room along with a much larger
car park. There are also bus stops just outside the surgery. The practice is privileged to be
recognised as a Training Practice and we sometimes
have fully qualified doctors attached to the practice
for a year to complete their training for General
Practice. We sometimes have student doctors as well,
but you will be asked if you want them to be in when
you see the Doctor. In 2003 we were privileged to receive the "Quality Practice Award" from the Royal College of General Practitioners. There is only one other practice in East Lancashire with this award.
We
work from three surgeries, Shadsworth Surgery, Rhyddings
Surgery (Oswaldtwistle) and Lambeth Street Surgery
(Audley). Dr Alastair Murdoch, Dr Angela Parry, Dr Graham Smith, Dr Mark Dziobon, Dr Eva Mitchell, Dr Carien Viljoen, Dr Nabil Isaac and Dr Ruth Marshall work at Shadsworth Surgery. Dr Samantha Prout, Dr Graham Smith, Dr Susannah Craig and Dr Nabil Isaac work at Rhyddings Surgery. The doctors based at Lambeth Street Surgery are Dr Marjoleine Onrust and Dr Robert Pierce.
