Lippy baskets have been used since the 16th Century to carry grain. These practical and decorative baskets would have been made with materials that were available to the craftsman at the time. Wheat straw was a popular material, manipulated in the same way as in Skep making. |
Any reasonable size can be made to order. 14", 16" and 18" and the most popular. |
