Seaside Cottage in Sussex

Attractive Victorian terraced cottage on the seafront only yards from the beach, available for weekly holiday lets and, in the off-peak season, long weekends and short breaks. Sleeps 5.

Seaford lies between Newhaven and Eastbourne, surrounded by the South Downs on one side and the sea on the other. Cuckmere Haven and the Seven Sisters, the famous white cliffs, are nearby. If you like like outdoor activities such as walking, bird watching, fishing, golf, sailing, windsurfing, tennis and swimming it is an ideal place for a holiday. Local attractions include the historic town of Lewes, Glyndebourne Opera, the village of Alfriston - home of Drusilla's zoo - and Beachy Head.

The cottage, which has central heating, is within walking distance of a parade of shops and the station. It has three bedrooms, two with sea views. The main bedroom, which has a double bed, is on the first floor, next to the bathroom. Upstairs there is a bedroom with two single beds, and another with a single bed and a wash basin. Please note that both flights of stairs in the cottage are steep and open on one side (but there is a hand-rail) and all single beds are 2' 6" in width.

Downstairs: a living room in the front with seating for six, a TV-video and an open fire, and a dining room at the back with a table and six chairs and a wood-burning stove. Just off the dining room is a small but well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine. At the front a small, south-facing patio overlooks the sea, and at the back there is a small courtyard with a washing line and an additional lavatory.
