Bishop Auckland made a nightmare start to their FA Trophy second qualifying round tie with Woodley Sports and never managed to fully recover.
Woodley took the lead on 9 minutes when Bailey was allowed to control the ball with both arms, before dropping it to his feet inside the six yard box. After turning he poked the ball goalwards over the rutted Brewery Field turf to find the net.

Worse was to come on 19 minutes when Curley's bobbling shot eluded Mohan's outstretched arms to make it 2-0.
Bishops immediately hit back when Crager's shot took a big deflection past Woodley 'keeper Higginbottom.
Bishops best chance of an equaliser in the first half came on 33 minutes when a free kick went over the crowded box to Campbell but the striker was unable to bring the ball under control and the danger passed.

Pressure was exerted by Bishops up the hill in the second half, with the first real opportunity falling to Damon Robson who shot tamely from 20 yards out with the goalkeeper stranded.
With time running out the chances came thick and fast. A corner was cleared to Oliver who hit a low shot goalwards. The ball rebounded to Clarkson whose dipping shot cannoned back off the face of the crossbar.
With their defence stretched Bishops Allen was forced to make a rash challenge with ten minutes remaining. This earned him a deserved yellow card, but unfortunately having been booked for an innocuous clash in the first half, he was shown the red.
Bishops continued to press but on 89 minutes Meadley scored on the break to end the contest.
