It's been a tough month for both Bishops and Bridlington Town and after recent events, today's match must have been something of an anticlimax for both clubs. The match was played in windy conditions on a sunny afternoon with little at stake.
Bridlington almost took the lead with a shot which hit the post on 7 minutes, and continued to press for the opening quarter of the game.
Storr had a chance for Bishops on 20 minutes when he headed a Shaw free-kick just past the post.
Bishops best chance of the half came on 42 minutes when Storr's cross from the by-line was headed badly by a Bridlington defender and the ball fell to Campbell who scuffed a shot wide from six yards. Storr created another good chance in injury time when he curled a shot which was clawed away from the corner of the net by the Bridlington 'keeper.
It was again Storr in the action on 67 minutes he curled a cross into the breeze and Wells close range stab was deflected to safety.
Bridlington took the lead on 80 minutes with a close range effort after a corner. Davison pulled off a great save a minute later to keep Bishops in the game, but the Two Blues were unable to equalise despite some late pressure.
